Now THIS is a neat toy!

Now this is a new toy that I think will sweep the Nation and become one of those hard-to-find goodies come Christmas this year.  While I cannot speak from the experience of owning one, I did get a chance to play with a Paper Jamz guitar last night in Walgreen’s.  They had the drumkit . . . → Read More: Now THIS is a neat toy!

Dear DJ Z-TRIP…

Dear DJ Z-TRIP,

First off, let me thank you for the incredible music you create.  You are one talented dude, let me tell you.  Killer taste in music as well!

Anyhow, please allow me to get to the meat of this note to you.  See, I will be driving up to Denver for the . . . → Read More: Dear DJ Z-TRIP…

What’s the Excuse this time?

Working on The GarageYes I know, yet more time goes by and nothing new to see here right?  Well that’s not entirely true actually.  See, I’m trying to make things play nice together and it hasn’t been the easiest task.  Not all of the scripting behind the scenes is working right, so I’m trying to get it to work right.  By the time I’m done with work, then spend time behind the scenes, I’m not really in the mood to blab and lack the creative juices.

That being said, here’s where I stand on some issues so you know what to expect until I let you know otherwise.

  • LOGIN – Major trouble right now with the ALT login box.  This is the box that includes Facebook, Twitter, and other alternate ways of logging in.  If you wouldn’t mind trying it with your various logins and let me know whats happens, that would be a big help.  My main focus right now is on Twitter and Facebook, but I think the others work.
    • *NOTE you can still register for a login and use the site normally.  When I get the other method worked out, you can login with that and we can migrate accounts if you want.  Please register and explore the site.
    • Facebook Comments are functional as well as the like button, please feel free to play with those as well.
  • FORUMS – Functional but still adding smilies and stuff like that.  Please feel free to join in the discussions or start your own.
  • MEDIA CENTER – Right now it will take uploads but trouble with viewing video and listening to audio.  I have not even bothered with photos yet but they might work, try?.  When it’s functional though, you’ll be able to build a media library under your profile. The day I broke Twitter…Again.

Well, not really all of Twitter.  Actually, I didn’t break Twitter at all, but you would’ve thought I did.

First off, let me apologize again to those of you that follow me on Twitter, or should I say, those who are still following me after this morning.  I really am sorry!  It’s not like I sat there slamming down the Tweets to blow up your streams.  In fact, to be honest I was trying desperately to recover The Garage this morning after a core upgrade started throwing 500′s.

It wasn’t until I started hearing from those who still give a damn, that I realized the same thing happened again that happened when I migrated my site to my own hosting solution.  I immediately tried to apologize to my followers, but due to the slam, I was over my limit for the time being and had to wait.  In the meantime I deleted every one of those Tweets.  And there were indeed several.

If you are a true follower and have come to know me by now you can skip all this if you want.  You know by now that I like to tinker. Continue reading The day I broke Twitter…Again.

How much longer are we going to let them walk on us?

Absolutely pathetic!  This is our country dammit!  Isn’t about time we take it back?  So if the feds don’t want to do shit to help and protect us, who will?  Certainly not the puppet in the White House, that ASS is too busy playing golf.

The answer is simple anymore, it’s time we take our borders back on our own and say piss on the Washington BS.  I live in Arizona, and I am damn tired of this!

Isn’t about time that the armed criminals encounter some heavily armed American Citizens?  I cannot believe these signs that are popping up.  It’s like “yea I know you live here and pay your taxes, but you need to stay out of the illegals way as they slowly take over Meximerica!”

I just wonder what each of these wonderful signs cost?  Since we are dishing out the dinero, we need to re-word the signs and turn them south.  We need to let these bastards know that it would be deadly to continue north beyond the signs.

I never go into the desert unarmed, and always have one chambered.  I would NOT turn and run, I can assure you of that nor would I waste precious time calling 911.  What the hell are they going to do, their own deputies get ambushed in the desert, how in the world are they going to save me? Nah, enough is enough Arizona, it’s time you step up and take your state back!  Forget the rest of the country, let them boycott us.  They only run their trap because they’ve not seen it first hand and don’t live here. The Heat is On and other things of note.

Alas my friends, the triple digits are upon us here in Phoenix and I’m just not ready for this.  I guess I never am really but it was a good weekend regardless.  Got some yard work done and also picked up a new security door as well, although it’s not installed yet.

While I try to do a lot of things myself, after buying a tool I’d need for the job and then trying to figure out how to best install it, I’m better off paying Home Depot the $97 they want for installation.  That by the way is a stellar fine deal that ends the end of this month I believe so do check it out if you are in the market for a new security door.  I’m actually pretty excited to see how it turns out.  We didn’t have a huge amount of choice with regards to color, but went with the “Verde” in hopes that the green will match the trim and other parts of the house.

If it wasn’t for the fact that we use our swamper so much, I may have considered glass.  I feel that’s a nice touch, but as @PrincessStang pointed out, we do like that cross ventilation except of course in the warmer months when the heat comes right off the asphalt in the culdesac. This is a very sad picture I'm afraid.

It's been a little while...

It’s been three long weekends, and I know, not a peep from me.  Sorry about that.

The long weekends turned into new weeks and the process started all over again.  Two of the weekends were spent in Parker, and this last weekend was spent doing the drywall in our laundry room.

The first weekend in Parker was spent watching the boat races. Continue reading It's been a little while…

Gettin Down with the Double Down from KFC

The Proud Colonel

Well I went for it tonight.  That’s right, in honor of having blood work done today for a cholesterol check, I went for this Black Sheep of the menu.  Despite the fact that people have been whining about excessive grease, stringy chicken and the list goes on, I took the chance and rewarded myself for the long wait.  Being the trooper that she is, my wife also got one.

I liked it.  Dammit, I liked this sandwich.  Although I probably could have  gone for the Combo since I was left feeling just a little hungry, and I think  those wedge fries may have just about done the trick. Continue reading Gettin Down with the Double Down from KFC
