My route . . . → Read More: As the days wind down, planning steps up.]]> With just about a week to go, the trip is forming up.  I have the route up north all set, however, still playing with time.  I may not be leaving early enough, but my goal is to be able to spend enough time in Gilman for some good quality pictures end exploration.

My route will take me up through Durango and on into Silverton where I will continue north on the Million Dollar Highway to Ouray.  The route will take me through places like Aspen, Leadville and Vail and that is only the way up.  There will be other stops of interest as well, but this will give you an idea.

I got my RUSH ticket this week for their show at Red Rocks, however, I am still waiting on my VIP passes for the festival which I hope to see at some point this week.

I have just secured coords to a radio telescope that I want to see, so now that I have that, I’ll work on my route home.  It certainly won’t be a direct one with some of the things I want to see, but it will be adventurous to say the least.

NO DROIDX FOR ME

I was planning on picking up a Droid before the trip, but with all the stuff I’ve read, I think I’ll wait.  Mostly battery issues, but with that in mind, I’m just not sure it would be a good idea to chance it on the trip.  I know how long my Blackberry will last, and what I can do with it.  All my toys are currently setup for the BB anyhow so go with what you know right? I would hate to get going on my trip and realize I made a mistake.  I wish though I could have the HD video and 8x but oh well.

So that’s pretty much it for now.  I just wanted to check in with you and let you know things are coming along nicely and I’m quite excited for this trip.  Now that I think about it though, I may want to study time a bit closer.  I almost wish I was taking 3 days to drive up and explore along the way, but I think the 2 will be enough.

Anyhow, please allow me to get to the meat of this note to you.  See, I will be driving up to Denver for the Mile High Music Festival from Phoenix and can’t wait to see the incredible lineup it will have to offer.  Of course, one of the acts being you!

But beyond that, I’ll also be seeing RUSH at Red Rocks that following Wednesday night.   That being said, while I know all of your stuff is quite intense and I’m sure you’ve got some goodies up your sleeve for the show already, any chance of a wicked RUSH remix?  You know, just to set the mood for later in the week?

If not man, I totally understand.  Doesn’t hurt to publicly beg right?

Of course I still . . . → Read More: The trip north? It’s getting closer!]]> So as the days get closer, the plan comes together.  VIP passes have been ordered, room booked, and route is being planned currently.  This is going to be a great trip, however, I still need to score that one single ticket to RUSH and I will be all set!

Of course I still need to plan the rest of the trip, but some things just need to be taken care of first.  Honestly, the RUSH ticket should have been first, but oh well, I’m sure it will all work out.

What is this trip north you ask?  Well, pictures are worth a few words anyhow:
Like I said though, I still have some planning to do so I can really make this a trip to remember.  Harry said he wants to come real bad, so I’ll be getting some good pictures I’m sure.

Another certain adventure will be the quest for party favors.  With a pass at some point through New Mexico, I’m liable to find a fun store to explore I imagine.  If you’re wondering what I’m talking about right now, well another term might be fireworks?  Enough on that topic.

First off, let me apologize again to those of you that follow me on Twitter, or should I say, those who are still following me after this morning.  I really am . . . → Read More: The day I broke Twitter…Again.]]> Well, not really all of Twitter.  Actually, I didn’t break Twitter at all, but you would’ve thought I did.

First off, let me apologize again to those of you that follow me on Twitter, or should I say, those who are still following me after this morning.  I really am sorry!  It’s not like I sat there slamming down the Tweets to blow up your streams.  In fact, to be honest I was trying desperately to recover The Garage this morning after a core upgrade started throwing 500′s.

It wasn’t until I started hearing from those who still give a damn, that I realized the same thing happened again that happened when I migrated my site to my own hosting solution.  I immediately tried to apologize to my followers, but due to the slam, I was over my limit for the time being and had to wait.  In the meantime I deleted every one of those Tweets.  And there were indeed several.

If you are a true follower and have come to know me by now you can skip all this if you want.  You know by now that I like to tinker.

The Garage has always been a playground for me, and to an extent, at your expense.  Everything I know is self-taught for starters, and as I learn more things, and play with different code, I tend to blow things up. I’ve only had the site since 1998 so cut me a little slack Yea, I know.  A development environment might be a better place to play with my toys in case they explode, but I guess I just prefer a LIVE environment.  More often than not, I can back things out quickly before you even notice and go back to the drawing board.

With regards to what happened today, I think I have identified the plugin that was the cause of all of this.  It essentially bridges my posts to Twitter seamlessly as I post them.  The trouble is, when I was coming back from my 500′s, it reposted I can’t tell you how many of my posts back to twitter and filling your streams.  That being said, I am pretty sure I have identified the culprit and will keep it off in future updates.  I can’t say for sure so please don’t hang me out to dry when accidents happen. That may not be it at all. I have never claimed to be a pro at all of this.

Apparently those who don’t know me seem to think every now and then, it’s my intent to flood our Twitter streams with redundant garbage.  Why in the world would I want to look like a complete ASS and flood your stream intentionally, let alone my own?  If I didn’t do anything to try to clean it up, or didn’t try to aplogoize, then fine, unfollow me or whatever you need to do.  But an honest mistake which I really had no knowledge of?  @Stang5_0 is my personal account folks.  I’ve taken pride in the building of my follower base as well as the friendships I’ve developed.

Again, I am very sorry for flooding your streams.  If you feel I am not a big enough boy to handle a Twitter account and need to unfollow me, so be it!  Shit happens, and what happened today was an accident that I didn’t even know was happening.

Those of you still reading this and still following me, Thank You for your support!  Thank you for understanding it was an accident.  Yes, it was not the first one of this kind, but I play with code.  It’s what I enjoy.  When possible, I try to learn from my mistakes as well.  Just because I play with it, doesn’t mean I know it.  I don’t always know what causes my site and things to blow up, so I don’t always have an answer.  And sometimes, it goes BOOM again.  But I usually try to figure it out.
